I thought this teapot would be an interesting challenge to paint because of the many colors and the need to capture the look of glazed pottery.  It was fun!

The pot is part of my Mikasa set and the pattern is called "Studio Nova, Impulse".  I traded my grandmother's Spode set for this one and now sometimes wish I had kept at least part of the Spode as it would have been wonderful for still life set-ups.  It just didn't match my décor  or my color scheme all that well.  I guess you never know what you will do years down the road.
