Niangara Green

"Niangara Green" is based on photos I took of my friend Marie.  I changed the costuming and hair style and stylized the portrait.  The background patterns are ones I found in a book of African designs and are from the Bantu people in the Niangara region of Africa.  This painting was juried into the Arizona Watercolor Association 2007 Spring Exhibition.  It is one of a set of two versions of this image, each with a distinct and unique color palette.

This painting is priced with a double mat and backing, but unframed.
